As far as I understand, an NVivo project with coded resources is stored internally as some form of SQL database. NVivo only offers the option to export summaries of the coding to .xls* formats. Exporting a node, for example will only provide a summary of the number of resources coded, etc. I would like to export the whole of my resources coding into a database file. That is, I would like the export to a single database file that contains all the resources and nodes in a relational format. A SQL database, for example.

How can I do this?

Thanks,

Diego

Hello Diego,

Although NVivo uses SQL, it is not possible to export project items as a database file. Please refer to the following link for all available export options : http://help-nv11.qsr...oject_items.htm

Hi Sameer,

Thanks for your response. Is this something that might be implemented in the future? It seems like a serious limitation for more advanced users.

Best,

Diego

Hello Diego,

I have raised the matter with our Product Manager who collates all feature requests and prioritises them accordingly.
