I have set up a new project to explore a survey response. I have imported the dataset (spreadsheet) and I have done a lot of coding of the data and then found one of the responses is not appropriate and I need to delete the one record.

Is it possible to delete one record?

Many thanks

Hello Angela S,
Currently, dataset sources cannot be edited once they have been imported into NVivo 11. To edit a dataset you will need to export it outside NVivo, edit it in Excel and then re import it into NVivo.
Please feel free to see the below help links for more information on:
Functions that can be performed in a dataset

Exporting a dataset from NVivo

If you have performed any coding in your dataset source, you will need to re do it after importing the edited dataset file.
I will pass your suggestion about editing datasets in NVivo to our product team for consideration in future versions of NVivo.

Thank you Rahul I did think that would be the answer. I think it would be good if the product team could consider the ability to delete a record for future versions.

Many thanks
