  1. I've inherited coded transcripts that were done in Microsoft Word. Both coders are noted by different color combinations, with the comments being the code/node. I need to import those document into NVivo to collate and organize it. If it were just a handful of transcripts, I'd just redo them myself, but there are too many. Is there any way that I can mass important and have Nvivo code automatically, based on the highlights?
  2. Coding Word files

I'm coding imported transcriptions of classroom lessons. Often the transcriber hasn't been quite accurate with the transcription, and I have to insert words or revise the text. The problem is that unless I do this strictly before I code anything, the coding doesn't shift with the words on the screen, and the coding is suddenly highlighting groups of words in error. I've just had to delete two hours' work and start again.
  3. HI all, i'm trying to code several transcripts saved as Word documents. I find each time I code the document at an existing node, after doing so, the document loses my current place and instead returns to the top of the page, meaning I have to scroll all the way back down to where I was at each time, which is frustrating. My text is in a table, don't know if this may explain the issue. Has anyone else encountered this and is there a workaround at all? Thanks! Kate
