Problem converting MaxQda project

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,
I've started to use Nvivo instead of Maxqda and I have a problem to open the project saved in Maxqda (*.mx5) in nVivo11.  When I click "Convert" button after specifying the input and output file, I get the Conversion error message "There is no Access data component".
Thanks for helping.

Hello Jenny,

This issue occurs if there is a mismatch between the bit versions of NVivo and MS Office.

Can you please ensure that the bit version of Office 2016 and the bit version of NVivo 11 that has been installed is the same version?

You can check the bit version of NVivo by opening the software and going to File > Help > About NVivo.

Information about checking the bit version of Office 2016 is available here:

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/What-version-of-Office-am-I-using-932788b8-a3ce-44bf-bb09-e334518b8b19

If the version of NVivo is a different bit version you can either uninstall NVivo or uninstall Office  2016 and install the version that matches the respective other.

Links to download NVivo can be found here: http://www.qsrinternational.com/support/downloads

If you choose to uninstall NVivo please ensure you deactivate your license before uninstalling. Please refer to the below link for more info:

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Sameer
